xalqaro tashkilotlar va xorijiy davlatlar bilan milliy muvofiqlikni baholash, sinov hamda o‘lchash natijalarini eksport bozorlarida tan olish borasida hamkorlikni kengaytirish;
mahalliy mahsulotlarni ishlab chiqarishda xalqaro standartlar va texnik reglamentlarni joriy etish orqali ularning zamonaviy talablarga muvofiqligini ta’minlash va tashqi bozorlarda raqobatbardoshligini oshirish bo‘yicha manzilli choralar ko‘rish;
sifatni boshqarishning zamonaviy tizimlarini, birinchi navbatda, eksport qiluvchi korxonalarda keng joriy etish va mahsulotlarni texnik reglamentlar va standartlashtirishga doir normativ hujjatlar talablariga muvofiqligini ta’minlash;
milliy qonunchilikni, texnik tartibga solish, muvofiqlikni baholash instrumentlari va standartlashtirishga doir normativ hujjatlarni Jahon savdo tashkiloti talablariga uyg‘unlashtirish;
mahsulotlar (ishlar, xizmatlar) sifati va xavfsizlik talablariga rioya etilishi hamda iste’molchilarning huquqlarini noto‘g‘ri o‘lchash natijalarining salbiy oqibatlaridan himoya qilish choralarini ko‘rish;
texnik jihatdan tartibga solish sohasidagi normativ hujjatlarning majburiy talablari, o‘lchashlarning yagona birlikda bo‘lishi va to‘g‘riligi ta’minlanishi, majburiy sertifikatlashtirish qoidalariga amal qilinishi yuzasidan davlat nazoratini tashkil etish va uning amalga oshirilishini muvofiqlashtirish;
texnik jihatdan tartibga solish, shu jumladan standartlashtirish va metrologiya sohalaridagi qonunchilik hujjatlari buzilishining oldini olish va profilaktikasini ta’minlash bo‘yicha ta’sirchan choralar ko‘rish;
texnik jihatdan tartibga solish sohasini raqamlashtirish orqali samaradorlik va natijadorlikka erishish, tadbirkorlik subyektlariga ko‘rsatiladigan davlat xizmatlari turlarini kengaytirish, shaffof va korrupsiyadan xoli samarali tizimni joriy etish;
texnik jihatdan tartibga solish sohasida kadrlarni qayta tayyorlash va ularning malakasini oshirishni tashkil etish.
